Thamma box office collection day 3: Following the success of Stree 2, Maddock Films has released another horror-comedy film. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the film premiered on Diwali. After an impressive start, it has now grossed over 50 crore within three days.

Thamma’s box office performance

According to a trade tracking site, Thamma earned 24 crore on its opening day and maintained its momentum on day two with a collection of 18.6 crore. However, the third day saw a slight dip, earning 10.42 crore. The cumulative collection now stands at 53.02 crore.

The film has already surpassed the lifetime collection of Kajol’s recent horror offering, Maa, which accumulated 36.08 crore domestically and 49.75 crore globally. Competing against Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, Thamma is leading the pack.

Furthermore, it is nearing the lifetime collection of Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya, which grossed 68.99 crore at the Indian box office.

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the horror-comedy was crafted by writers Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Falara. This film is the fourth installment in Maddock’s horror-comedy series. The plot centers on a journalist (Ayushmann Khurrana) who, after meeting a mysterious woman (Rashmika Mandanna), transforms into a vampiric entity called Betal, tasked with saving humanity from an ancient evil (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). The film has garnered favorable reviews from critics and audiences alike.
