About Thamma
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the horror-comedy was crafted by writers Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Falara. This film is the fourth installment in Maddock’s horror-comedy series. The plot centers on a journalist (Ayushmann Khurrana) who, after meeting a mysterious woman (Rashmika Mandanna), transforms into a vampiric entity called Betal, tasked with saving humanity from an ancient evil (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). The film has garnered favorable reviews from critics and audiences alike.
According to a review, “Thamma feels less like another franchise installment and more like the moment the MHCU truly finds its rhythm. It blends humor and heart with surprising confidence, leaving you curious about what’s next… and for once, that curiosity feels well-earned.”
