During the weekend episode, he questioned her use of abusive language, stating that she’s “the kind of daughter-in-law people want.” This remark has led many to voice their concerns online, with critics branding it as misogynistic.
During a discussion in the house, Ashnoor remarked that Farrhana was “spreading negativity”. Salman responded to this by commenting on her attitude. He joked, “When it comes to marriage, families will ask about the girl. Oh, she swears, fights, and breaks plates—exactly the daughter-in-law we want!”
This comment translates to questioning the suitability of a potential daughter-in-law based on her behavior, placing the focus on negative traits.
Salman’s comments did not go unnoticed. Many users on social media criticized his tone as “misogynistic,” arguing that such remarks reinforce harmful gender stereotypes.
One user stated, “If these types of jokes are acceptable, then why not direct them at male contestants as well?” Others echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the disparities in how men and women are portrayed on the show.
Critics also voiced their discontent with the show’s portrayal of women, with one user commenting, “This kind of thinking is regressive, promoting a dangerous mindset.”
