Perth Festival 2026 to Feature Headliners: Lacrima, Max Cooper, Nilüfer Yanya, and Black Country, New Road

The Perth Festival is gearing up for its upcoming event, with a complete lineup set to be revealed on October 22. However, today they shared some exciting headliners to keep festival-goers eager.
### Featured Productions and Artists
At the forefront of this lineup is **Lacrima**, a standout French theater production that has captivated audiences throughout Europe. This performance will be showcased on the main stage at East Perth Power Station.
**Lacrima**, directed by notable filmmaker Caroline Guiela Nguyen, transforms the realm of haute couture into an engaging cinematic thriller. The story revolves around a prestigious Parisian fashion house tasked with creating a wedding dress for a British royal princess, unveiling the often-hidden labor behind the luxury fashion industry.
> “This is theatre that takes hold of you – complex, surprising and deeply human,” stated Perth Festival Artistic Director Anna Reece. “**Lacrima** grips from start to finish, pulling you deep into the exquisite and the brutal truths of high fashion.”
### Venue and Returning Acts
The East Perth Power Station, which welcomed over 80,000 visitors in its inaugural year, will again serve as the festival’s cultural hub, featuring three prominent international acts.
Max Cooper, a former geneticist turned electronic music artist, will kick off the Main Stage program with an immersive audiovisual performance on February 6. Following him is Nilüfer Yanya, who will make her Perth debut on February 20 after completing successful US and UK tours alongside Lorde and Alex G.
Completing this initial lineup is Black Country, New Road. Known for their innovative sound, they’ve been hailed as “the best band in the world” by *The Quietus*. The ensemble built a dedicated following at London’s iconic Windmill venue before evolving into their current lineup featuring three unique vocalists and intricate instrumentation. They are set to perform on February 22.

Tickets for **Festival Club members** are currently on sale, with general ticket sales slated to begin on Friday, September 26.
