Keerthy Suresh shares insights about her relationship
Keerthy and Antony began their relationship long before she entered the film industry. When discussing the lengthy 15-year journey to marriage, she mentioned, “We needed time; we started dating in 2010. I needed to finish college and establish my career. We even had a long-distance relationship for around 5-6 years due to his job in Qatar.”
Concerns about family acceptance
As they settled into their careers, Keerthy feared her family might not accept Antony because of his religion. She recounted, “At home, we thought there might be issues due to our differences. However, during a conversation four years ago, my dad reassured me; it was much smoother than I expected.” In a sweet gesture, her father even toasted Antony in celebration.
A loving gesture: Naming her dog Nyke
Keerthy elaborated on a special gift from Antony—a puppy named Nyke, symbolizing their bond. “After the success of ‘Mahanati’ in 2018, when I couldn’t publicly discuss our relationship, I named our dog Nyke, honoring both of our names,” she mentioned with a smile.
For context, Keerthy is the daughter of renowned Malayalam producer G Suresh Kumar and Tamil actress Menaka. After long keeping her relationship with Antony private, they officially married on December 12, 2024, in a ceremony that honored both Hindu and Christian traditions.
