Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have recently made headlines with their engagement announcement. Fans are eagerly awaiting details about their wedding date. While both have hinted at their upcoming marriage, specifics remain under wraps. However, various reports suggest that the couple is looking to tie the knot next summer in beautiful Rhode Island. Here’s what we know about what could be one of the biggest celebrity weddings of 2026:
According to a report, the couple intends to celebrate their wedding at Swift’s stunning seaside estate in Watch Hill. The property, which boasts a price tag of $17.5 million, is currently undergoing renovations costing around $1.7 million. Sources suggest they are aiming for a summer 2026 wedding date, following Kelce’s NFL season.
Swift’s Rhode Island mansion is well-known among her fans. The picturesque residence has seen many celebrity-filled Fourth of July gatherings, even inspiring her song “The Last Great American Dynasty.” Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee has expressed his support on social media, emphasizing the state’s beautiful wedding venues.
Swift acquired this mansion in 2013. It features eight bedrooms and ten bathrooms, sprawling over five acres with breathtaking ocean views. Recent building permits indicate extensive renovations, fuelling speculation that these updates are intended for the impending wedding.
While neither Swift nor Kelce has announced an exact wedding date, insiders reveal that it will be an intimate gathering with a guest list made up of family and close friends.
Kelce noted on his podcast that he originally wanted to propose “on the water” before opting for something more fitting for Swift. Their engagement, revealed on August 26 via a joint Instagram post, has fans buzzing with excitement. A summer 2026 wedding allows Swift to balance her touring schedule with Kelce’s off-season, creating a romantic opportunity for their celebration.
The wedding is expected to take place at Swift’s Rhode Island property in Watch Hill.
The couple is looking at a summer 2026 date, after the NFL season concludes.
Sources indicate it will be a private affair, focusing on family rather than a grand celebrity spectacle.
