Rishab Shetty’s film “Kantara Chapter 1” has taken the box office by storm, having crossed the ₹400 crore mark on its 11th day. With this impressive feat, it has outperformed notable films such as “Baahubali” and “Salaar.”
Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Collection Insights
According to data from film tracking sites, “Kantara Chapter 1” kicked off its journey with an impressive ₹337.4 crore in its opening week. The film continued to gain momentum during its second week, earning ₹22.25 crore on day nine, followed by a staggering ₹39 crore on the following Saturday.
On its second Sunday, the film further solidified its status by collecting around ₹36.94 crore, pushing its total domestic takings to ₹435.59 crore. This remarkable performance places it ahead of Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s “Salaar,” which collected ₹406.45 crore, as well as “Baahubali: The Beginning,” which reached ₹420 crore.
Competition in the Box Office
Kantara Chapter 1 faced competition from “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari,” featuring actors like Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan. However, Rishab Shetty’s film emerged victorious, while the latter struggled to break even with a collection below ₹50 crore at the domestic box office.
