Kacey Musgraves Set to Make Long-Awaited Comeback in Australia
Renowned country artist Kacey Musgraves is set to make her much-anticipated return to Australia as part of her international tour.
The eight-time Grammy winner will grace stages in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane with four performances from November 19th to November 26th. Fans can look forward to songs from her 2024 album Deeper Well, along with favorites from her entire discography. Musgraves expressed her excitement, stating, “I cannot wait to come back to Australia. It’s been too long, and I’m thrilled to see my lovely Australian fans.”
Kacey Musgraves’ Past Visits to Australia
Her previous headline tour in Australia took place in 2019, following the success of her critically acclaimed album Golden Hour. During that tour, Musgraves made headlines by performing a viral “shoey” in Melbourne—drinking from a glass slipper.
Rise to Fame
Musgraves first entered the spotlight in 2013 with her debut album, Same Trailer Different Park, which climbed to number two on the US album chart. This album included notable tracks such as “Merry Go ’Round,” “Blowin’ Smoke,” and “Follow Your Arrow.”
On her breakthrough song, Musgraves remarked, “Even if [people] don’t agree with the girls-kissing-girls thing or even the drug reference, I would hope that they would agree that no matter what, we all should be able to love who we want to love and live how we want to live.”
Award-Winning Career
Her fame has only continued to soar, as evidenced by her eight Grammy wins, four of which were for Golden Hour in 2018. Additionally, her collaboration on Zach Bryan’s 2023 hit “I Remember Everything” garnered her a Grammy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, marking her as the first artist to win a Grammy in every major country music category.
This March, she released a rendition of Hank Williams’ “Lost Highway” upon re-signing with Lost Highway Records, the label that originally signed her.
