Ayushmann Khurrana’s Reaction to Comic Comparisons
Ayushmann Khurrana recently engaged with his fans during an Instagram Ask Me Anything (AMA) session, where he touched on various topics, including his character in the film Thamma. Some fans humorously dubbed him the “Captain America of the Maddock horror comedy universe,” prompting a witty comeback from the star.
His Response to Comparisons
During the session, when a fan inquired, “How do you feel about being compared to Captain America of MHCU?” Ayushmann playfully responded, “Mat kar lala. Nahi chahiye hume bahar ki validation,” which translates to “Don’t do that; we don’t need outside validation.” He emphasized the uniqueness of his film universe, stating that “Thamma is Thamma.”

Ayushmann also reflected on the success of Thamma, noting that he’s sleeping better since its release. According to him, “Thamma is very special for me,” adding that it marks the fulfillment of a dream for a boy from Chandigarh to showcase a film on Diwali.
About the Film Thamma
Thamma serves as the fifth installment within the Maddock horror comedy universe. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film narrates the story of a journalist turned vampiric creature named Betal, who must combat an ancient evil to save humanity.
