Varun Grover Expresses Outrage Over Bengaluru Incident
A shocking incident has provoked strong reactions online, particularly from filmmaker Varun Grover.
Writer-director Varun Grover voiced his disgust over a tragic incident in Bengaluru, where a delivery agent for Zepto was killed following a road rage encounter. Reports indicate that a couple’s vehicle struck the agent’s bike after a detour from their route.
Varun Grover’s post highlighting the outrage over the murder of a Zepto delivery agent, with many users calling for stronger legal actions against the couple involved.
Details of the Incident
A viral CCTV clip reveals the couple’s car aggressively colliding with the delivery boy’s bike. The incident, marked as “Road Rage Shocker,” shocked many. It was reported that the couple pursued the victim for two kilometers before committing the act, showcasing blatant disregard for safety. After the act, they even returned to the scene to dispose of evidence. The accused, identified as Manoj Kumar and Aarti Sharma, have been apprehended, with the victim, Darshan, off-duty at the time.
Grover took to social media to express his views, stating, “This is not road rage, this is a hate crime. It showcases the disdain of the privileged towards those who are deemed lesser because of their socioeconomic status. This kind of hatred parallels the broader political sentiments we see today, reflecting severe social inequalities.”
Public Reaction
The outcry on social platforms was immediate, with users supporting Grover’s stance and calling for stringent consequences for the couple. One user commented, “This looks like a premeditated murder. The driver should be held accountable for a lifetime.”
Another added, “If this regime doesn’t change soon, we are heading towards anarchy.” Such fervent exchanges underline the public’s growing concern over safety and justice within society.
Authorities have confirmed that both Manoj Kumar and Aarti Sharma are now in custody. The victim, Darshan, was reportedly accompanied by a friend who sustained injuries in the unfortunate event.
