Set to take place from August 7 to 24 across Melbourne, regional Victoria, and online, MIFF 2025 will showcase over 275 films. A key highlight will be the Music on Film section, which includes special live score events and acclaimed music documentaries.

### Premieres and Highlights

One of the major attractions this year is the world premiere of *Jimmy Barnes: Working Class Man*. Directed by Andrew Farrell, this film serves as a follow-up to the 2018 documentary *Working Class Boy*. It offers an intimate look at the Cold Chisel frontman, detailing his journey from Glasgow’s tenements to Australia’s stadiums.

Other notable films in the Music on Film category include Alex Ross Perry’s *Pavements*, featuring Joe Keery from *Stranger Things* as Stephen Malkmus.
