The Rions Unveil Their Debut Album: 'Everything Every Single Day'

The Rions are excited to announce their debut album, Everything Every Single Day, set to be released on October 3rd.

New Single and Music Video

In conjunction with the album announcement, this indie band from Eora/Sydney has unveiled their latest single and video, titled “Tonight’s Entertainment.” They’ve also laid out their national headline theatre tour dates, which is sponsored by triple j.

About “Tonight’s Entertainment”

The band shared that “Tonight’s Entertainment” was inspired by a piano riff created by Harley Wilson while backstage at a performance in Canberra. “Our aim was to express our gratitude with a simple line like ‘I wouldn’t change a thing if I could’ about what we get to do for a living,” they explained.

The official music video, directed by Emily Mays (Chisel), is influenced by street performers. “Performing in front of a big crowd is one thing, but it takes real confidence to play on the street for no one, until it turns into something,” the band noted.

In the video, you can see the band embodying characters inspired by icons such as David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust, Ringo Starr, Mk.gee, and Harry Styles.

Upcoming Album Insights

“Tonight’s Entertainment” follows previous singles such as “Maybe I’m Just a Freak” and “Shut You Out,” which will also feature on the new album. The Rions describe this 13-track collection as “the most open wound we’ve allowed the world to see, sharing our lives—our highs and lows, our thoughts, our aspirations, and our experiences on a silver platter.”

Tour Dates and Events

Their most significant headline shows will kick off in Meanjin/Brisbane on the release date, followed by stops in Eora/Sydney, Naarm/Melbourne, nipaluna/Hobart, and Tarndanya/Adelaide. Additionally, the band will join the Spilt Milk festival in December, and they have plans to tour the UK and Europe in November, hitting cities like Bournemouth, Cornwall, Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, London, and Amsterdam.
