The Living End Unveils New Album, Single, Tour, and Exciting Events

The Living End Connects with Fans Through Q&A Sessions

The Living End are set to engage their fans in a series of intimate Q&A sessions on the east coast. This announcement comes in celebration of their upcoming album, I Only Trust Rock n Roll, which marks their return after eight years and is scheduled for release on September 26th via BMG.

Meet and Greet Opportunities for Fans

Fans will have the chance to interact with the band in person at three locations: The Bendigo in Melbourne on September 28th, Lefty’s Music Hall in Brisbane on September 30th, and Marrickville Bowling Club in Sydney on October 1st. Following each session, there will be opportunities for album and merchandise signings. Tickets for these events are currently available.

An Album Filled with Energy and Emotion

This upcoming album, their ninth overall, showcases the same energetic spirit that has fueled The Living End for over 25 years. Spanning eleven tracks, it features their signature blend of punk intensity and rock flair, including the recently released single “Misery.” This single joins earlier tracks such as “Alfie,” “Strange Place,” and the album’s title track.

Chris Cheney Reflects on “Misery”

Frontman Chris Cheney describes “Misery” as a significant milestone. He stated, “Misery is like a big sigh of relief. It’s about kicking bad habits and shedding negativity.” Cheney emphasized the importance of choosing a positive path in life, noting that it’s crucial not to dwell in misery.

The Sound of the New Album

Interestingly, the main riff for “Misery” was one of the earliest ideas Cheney conceived for the album, setting the tone for the entire collection. He mentioned that it embodied the feel and energy the band aimed to achieve.
