The Kid LAROI Leads Initiative for World Mental Health Day Awareness

## The Kid LAROI’s Mental Health Initiative
In honor of National Suicide Prevention Month, The Kid LAROI is collaborating with a nonprofit organization to promote awareness and support for mental health. This initiative aims to destigmatize conversations surrounding mental health, encouraging individuals to seek help.
### Public Service Announcement
A public service announcement featuring The Kid LAROI, created by OBB Media, will be showcased in AMC Theatres across North America starting next month. This announcement supports Project Healthy Minds, a nonprofit that offers a user-friendly platform to find mental health resources, making it as accessible as booking a flight or a table at a restaurant.
### LAROI’s Personal Journey
At just 22, the artist, who has Gadigal and Kamilaroi heritage, has been open about his own mental health challenges and the pressures of his career. He shared his experiences in the 2024 Amazon Prime Video documentary, *Kids Are Growing Up: A Story About a Kid Named LAROI*.
### Promoting Mental Health Awareness
Reflecting on his partnership with Project Healthy Minds, LAROI stated, “October 10 is World Mental Health Day. This year, I’m celebrating with Project Healthy Minds and a new approach to mental health, where stigmas are removed, and help is easily accessible. It’s time to stop being silent and address what often goes unspoken.”
He emphasized the importance of confronting uncomfortable feelings, adding that “working on your mental health is uncomfortable, but it’s worth it. You’re worth it, and you’re not alone. So, take care of your mental health.”
### Overcoming Challenges
Having grown up in the public eye, LAROI has faced significant hurdles, including the tragic loss of his close friend Juice WRLD in 2019 due to a drug overdose. This event was a pivotal moment in his life, which he detailed in the 2021 documentary *Juice WRLD: Into the Abyss*, reminiscing about their final moments together.
Despite these hardships, he has continued to thrive in his career. In 2021, he set a record by becoming the youngest Australian solo artist to top the ARIA Album Charts with *F*ck Love (Savage)*. LAROI has collaborated with big names like Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and Machine Gun Kelly.
### Recent Releases
In June, he launched “HOW DOES IT FEEL?” in collaboration with Thundercat, following up on his earlier 2025 track, “ALL I WANT IS YOU.”
Additionally, he recently contributed to ONEFOUR’s new album with the single “Distant Strangers,” featuring UK artist Imogen Heap.
