The Horrors Unveil Exciting Details for Upcoming Australian Tour
The Horrors are set to make a much-anticipated return to Australia with an extensive headline tour in April 2026. This marks their first major visit to the country since 2012.
The British band’s announcement follows a memorable appearance at Dark Mofo in Hobart earlier this year, where they also performed an intimate set at 3RRR in Melbourne. These events were their first shows in Australia in over a decade, recalling their performance at the Laneway Festival in support of their album *Skying*.
The upcoming tour will see The Horrors performing in five major cities: Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth, all taking place throughout April.
Tickets will be available to the public starting Monday, November 3rd at 9 AM local time. A pre-sale will kick off on Friday, October 31st at 9 AM local time.
This announcement comes alongside the release of their latest album, *Night Life*, which has been described as “a record of weight and space; of melancholy and euphoria.”
Since debuting as garage-goths with *Strange House* in 2007, The Horrors have continually refined their sound over the years. Their second album, *Primary Colours*, was nominated for a Mercury Prize and showcased their ability to innovate across genres. The band’s 2011 release, *Skying*, won the NME Award for Best Album, while their fifth album, *V*, garnered high praise, including a five-star review from The Guardian.
*Night Life* signifies a return to the band’s raw roots while exploring themes often found “under the cover of darkness.”
*Wall of Sound* commended their Dark Mofo performance, highlighting how The Horrors blend indie rock, trip-hop, psychedelia, dream-pop, darkwave, shoegaze, and garage punk to create vivid soundscapes and hauntingly beautiful lyrics.
