Thamma worldwide box office collection day 5: The horror comedy featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna has impressively crossed the ₹100 crore mark within just five days. Initially released during Diwali, the film reportedly maintained strong performance, especially over the weekend.
On its fifth day, Thamma saw a remarkable 30% increase in domestic collections, earning ₹13 crore compared to ₹10 crore on the previous day. This brings the Indian total to ₹78.60 crore net.
Launching with ₹24 crore net during Diwali, the film initially experienced a decline but is bouncing back successfully over the weekend.
Even though its overseas performance lagged due to the lack of festive benefits, Thamma is gaining traction, and estimates suggest it has garnered close to $2 million abroad, pushing total worldwide earnings to ₹110 crore by Saturday.
This milestone positions Thamma as the fourth horror comedy from Maddock Films to breach the ₹100 crore threshold, following hits like Stree, Stree 2, and Munjya. Notably, it outperformed Bhediya, which collected ₹95 crore globally in 2022.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film showcases Rashmika and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as vampires, while Ayushmann portrays a journalist entangled in their narrative. The film has generally received positive feedback and includes cameos from various actors within the Maddock universe.
