Tash Sultana Set to Headline First Australian Tour in Six Years

Tash Sultana has exciting news for fans with the announcement of their first Australian headline shows in six years.

This tour will take place on the East Coast this October, following a successful 14-date live tour in the US and upcoming performances in Latin America.

In partnership with Live Nation, Lonely Lands Agency, and Lemon Tree Music, the upcoming concerts will be held in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. Attendees can anticipate a mix of songs from Sultana’s latest EP, Return to the Roots, along with popular tracks from their extensive catalog.

Joining Tash on stage will be the Perth-based group South Summit and the emerging Sydney artist Ben Swissa.

Tickets will go on sale for the general public on Friday, August 8th at 11 a.m. (local time), with presale options available for fans.

“After exploring pop genres in 2023’s Sugar EP, Tash shifts back to roots, reggae, folk, and dub sounds,” notes a review.

“The standout features of the album are Sultana’s vocals and songwriting. The track “Hold On,” characterized by its piano melody and subtle beats, serves as a heartfelt tribute to their wife, who faced cancer and a challenging surgery. Lyrics like “I’m no angel. I guess I have things to say,” resonate deeply in the song “Kiss the Sky.”

In a recent interview, Sultana expressed, “This is the best record yet. Not because it’s flawless, but because it’s genuine. No overthinking. Just music in its purest essence.”

Moreover, Sultana aims for a “live” sound, striving for authenticity without relying on production techniques.

They’re also set to speak at BIGSOUND 2025, showcasing their influence in the music scene.
