Tabu Explains Why She and Shah Rukh Khan Haven’t Starred in a Film Together
Despite being two of Bollywood’s top stars, Shah Rukh Khan and Tabu have yet to collaborate on a full film. What’s the reason behind this?
Shah Rukh Khan, known for his remarkable chemistry with co-stars, has always sparked interest amongst fans regarding a potential partnership with Tabu. Their shared moments on screen have been brief: a cameo in *Saathiya* (2002), a fleeting presence in *Deewangi Deewangi* from *Om Shanti Om* (2007), and a quick appearance in *Main Hoon Na* (2004). However, the duo has yet to feature in a full-length movie together.
Recently, during an interview with Galatta India, Tabu addressed why she hasn’t starred in a full film with Shah Rukh Khan. She stated, “I am not a producer, I am not a director, I am not a scriptwriter, I am really not dictating who Shah Rukh Khan works with. I can only say yes or no based on what is offered to me.” It’s a reasonable perspective.
Tabu further elaborated, “I know what I have turned down, and I’m sure he has also passed on a few. It’s just that our paths haven’t crossed yet. I appreciate that many people want to see us together, and I won’t disregard that.”
Hope is not lost. With a bit of luck, viewers may soon see Tabu and Shah Rukh Khan in a joint project. Currently, SRK is preparing for Siddharth Anand’s upcoming film *King*, while Tabu will be seen in the horror comedy *Bhooth Bangla*. Here’s wishing her a happy birthday!
