Delhi Crime Season 3: Shefali Shah’s DCP Vartika Tackles Human Trafficking
Delhi Crime Season 3 trailer: Shefali Shah, Rajesh Tailang, and Rasika Dugal return in this acclaimed Netflix series.
Since Netflix announced the highly anticipated return of the Emmy-winning series *Delhi Crime* for its third season, fans have been buzzing with excitement. The show stars Shefali Shah as the unwavering DCP Vartika Chaturvedi.
After the success of the previous seasons, expectations for Season 3 are running high. This past Tuesday, Netflix released a sneak peek trailer, offering a glimpse into the intense human trafficking case that DCP Vartika Chaturvedi’s team will tackle.
Insights from the Trailer
The trailer begins with Vartika revealing that her team has intercepted a shipment of 30 young girls being trafficked to Delhi. “We must pursue an investigation,” she stresses. As the plot thickens, her team uncovers an extensive network of similar trafficking incidents that stretches across multiple major cities, complicating the mission with each revelation.
Additionally, viewers catch a glimpse of Huma Qureshi’s character ‘Badi didi’, the mastermind behind the operation. Upon realizing that a police investigation is underway, the narrative builds toward a psychological confrontation between two determined women. As the pressure mounts, the Delhi Police team must work beyond borders to solve a case that transcends jurisdiction, time, and reason. Will they achieve justice in time?
This season, produced by Golden Karavan and SK Global Entertainment and directed by Tanuj Chopra, also features performances by Sayani Gupta, Mita Vashisht, Anshumaan Pushkar, and Kelly Dorji in significant roles.
Regarding Season 3, showrunner Tanuj Chopra mentioned: “We aimed to tell a story that feels both urgent and deeply human. Every season functions independently, allowing new viewers to jump right into Season 3 without prior knowledge of the earlier episodes. This season raises the stakes for Vartika like never before. Every clue and every setback drives her and her team closer to their limits. While this season broadens the lenses of *Delhi Crime*, it remains anchored in its core themes of empathy, truth, and the unwavering pursuit of justice.”
