Sumeet Raghvan, well-known for his portrayal of Sahil in the beloved sitcom *Sarabhai vs Sarabhai*, became emotional while honoring his late co-star, Satish Shah, who played his father in the series. Sumeet shared a heartfelt video on Instagram, reminiscing about their time together and the strong bond among the cast.
Sumeet expressed his thoughts on the show’s legacy, sharing, “In 2004, we started a show that aired for just 70 episodes. Today, 21 years later, it’s still in people’s hearts. The characters are relatable, with fans often identifying with Sahil, Monisha, and Rosesh, but there was only one Indravadan — Satish Kaka.”
With tears in his eyes, Sumeet reflected on Satish’s recent struggles. “He had been fighting for some time. The head of our family has left us,” he said, adding, “Life can be very cruel.”
Sumeet extended his gratitude to the fans, stating, “To all the fans sending condolences, as the eldest son, I humbly accept them. Dad, safe travels. See you on the other side.” In the emotional video, he ended with, “Love you, Satish Kaka. We all miss you.” Satish Shah passed away due to septic shock at the age of 74.
Despite his extensive film work, Satish’s part as Indravadan Sarabhai remains one of his most iconic roles in Indian television. *Sarabhai vs Sarabhai*, which aired from 2004 to 2006, featured notable talents like Ratna Pathak Shah, Rupali Ganguly, and Rajesh Kumar.
Over a career spanning more than 40 years, Satish became a beloved figure through his memorable comic roles, appearing in films such as *Hum Saath-Saath Hain*, *Main Hoon Na*, *Kal Ho Naa Ho*, and *Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa*.
