Thamma box office collection day 5: Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films continues to expand its horror-comedy universe with Thamma, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film is making headlines with its impressive box office performance, witnessing a notable increase in revenue as it reaches its fifth day.

As per information from trade tracking platforms, Thamma has shown robust initial performance at the box office. By its fifth day, the film amassed ₹13 crore, lifting the total collection to ₹78.60 crore.
Significantly, Thamma has outstripped the lifetime earnings of Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya, which previously made ₹68.99 crore. It also surpassed the domestic revenue of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, which collected ₹60.35 crore. The film recorded an overall occupancy of 19.72% in Hindi theaters during Saturday.
The film garnered favorable reviews from both critics and audiences alike. It had a stellar opening with ₹24 crore on day one, followed by ₹18.6 crore on the second day and ₹13 crore on the third day, even stabilizing at ₹10 crore on the first Friday.
On Friday, Ayushmann shared heartfelt acknowledgments on social media, thanking fans for Thamma’s success. Alongside a collection of images and videos featuring family moments and fan interactions, he expressed gratitude, saying, “This family has seen a lot in the last few years. The success of Thamma feels like a divine blessing.” Ayushmann mentioned his late father and the audience’s love that contributed to the film’s success.

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Thamma marks the fifth film in Maddock’s horror-comedy series, joining the ranks of Stree (2018), Bhediya (2022), Munjya, and the upcoming Stree 2 (both scheduled for 2024). The plot revolves around Ayushmann Khurrana’s character who experiences an unexpected transformation into a vampire and eventually falls for Rashmika Mandanna. However, their romance faces several hurdles. Nawazuddin Siddiqui takes on the role of the antagonist. Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, the film is portrayed as a bloody love story, officially released on October 21.
