Sonakshi Responds to Criticism

On Friday, she posted a series of images from her mosque visit, including a video of herself and Zaheer exploring the site.

While many admired the visuals, a user criticized them for not taking off their shoes before entering the mosque. Sonakshi quickly addressed the comment.

The user stated, “Going to the mosque wearing shoes is a very big sin.”

Responding directly, Sonakshi clarified, “That’s why we didn’t go inside wearing shoes. Look carefully, we’re just outside the mosque. Before entering, they showed us where to keep our shoes, and we took them off. Even we know that much. Now, let’s move on to positive discussions.”

Sonakshi’s Role in Promoting Abu Dhabi

Sonakshi and Zaheer’s trip was part of their professional commitment to promote tourism in Abu Dhabi. In her post, she stated, “Found a little peace, right here in Abu Dhabi.”

In the pictures, Sonakshi is dressed in a green and white printed kurta paired with a matching dupatta, while Zaheer opted for a black shirt alongside green pants.

Sonakshi’s photos surfaced shortly after fellow actor Deepika Padukone faced backlash for wearing a hijab while promoting Abu Dhabi tourism with her partner, Ranveer Singh. However, supporters promptly came to her defense.

Sonakshi and Zaheer officially committed to each other on June 23 last year after several years of dating. Their intimate wedding was followed by a celebration at Bastian in Mumbai. Sonakshi’s heartfelt note read, “On this very day, seven years back, we saw love in its purest form.” It is said that Salman Khan introduced them during a party, leading to their romance.
