Slash Confirms New Guns N’ Roses Album Is Coming Soon!
## Slash Hints at New Guns N’ Roses Album
Guitarist Slash has sparked excitement among fans by suggesting that a new Guns N’ Roses album might be on the horizon. In a recent interview with **Guitar World**, he mentioned that the band has amassed a wealth of new material. However, he cautioned that while an album is “coming,” there’s no specific release date as of now.
### The Creative Process
“There’s so much material at this point — it’s a matter of having the discipline to sit down and focus on it,” stated Slash. He emphasized that with Guns N’ Roses, planning can often lead to unexpected challenges. “You can never sit down and say, ‘We’re going to take this time and do this.’ Every time we’ve attempted that, it falls apart.”
He further explained how the band’s creative process is quite organic. “It just spontaneously happens through some sort of inspiration that triggers it,” he explained. “And the next thing you know, it’s off and running.”
### What’s Next for the Band
“I know it’s coming because everybody is thinking about it,” Slash added. “It’ll just happen when it happens.” As for official comments from a representative for him or the band, none have been provided at this time.
In a previous chat about his solo effort, *Orgy Of The Damned*, Slash made it clear that it was a personal project distinct from Guns N’ Roses. He mentioned that while he was engaged in this solo work, the band was focused on crafting new music. “Guns N’ Roses are trying to make their own record,” he observed.
### Bandmates Share Their Thoughts
Duff McKagan, Guns N’ Roses’ bassist, also hinted at forthcoming music. In 2019, during an interview with Trunk Nation, he mentioned that after their successful reunion tour, an album was indeed in the works. “Oh, it’s real,” McKagan noted, “but we don’t really talk about it, and what happens next just happens.”
In addition, guitarist Richard Fortus had previously suggested that a new Guns N’ Roses album could arrive “faster than you think.”
Fans have been eagerly awaiting a follow-up to 2008’s *Chinese Democracy*, as this would mark the first album featuring both McKagan and Slash since 1993’s *The Spaghetti Incident?*. It seems, however, that they may need to exercise a bit more patience before hearing new tunes.
