At a recent award ceremony held by Galatta Tamil, renowned actors Shruti Haasan and Soundarya Rajinikanth spoke about their fathers’ upcoming cinematic collaboration. Reflections from Shruti and Soundarya
Responding to queries about the film, Shruti expressed their shared eagerness, saying, “We also wish for it. We are also waiting like you,” glancing at Soundarya for affirmation. Their chemistry indicates a familial bond that adds warmth to the discussion.
When the hosts pressed for more details on the project, Soundarya remarked, “It would be correct if our fathers gave the update. But definitely, Appa will work in Kamal uncle’s banner (Raaj Kamal Films International). The specifics about the film are still being formulated, so Thalaiva will share those soon.”
Details on the Upcoming Film
In September at the SIIMA awards, Kamal Haasan announced his collaboration with Rajinikanth. He explained, “We don’t know if it’s a Tharamana Sambavam (wonderful occurrence), but it’s great if the audience enjoys it. If they’re happy, we will be too. This project has been a long time coming.”
Rajinikanth also confirmed the project, mentioning, “We are going to do a film with Raaj Kamal Films International and Red Giant Movies. The director hasn’t been decided yet, but if we find the right story and roles, we will move forward.”
