Shefali Shah Discusses Delhi Crime Season 3 Release Timing Before Diwali
Shefali Shah discusses her love for Diwali and the recent announcement of Delhi Crime Season 3, aligning perfectly with her favorite festival.
The festive season has brought a wonderful surprise for Shefali Shah. Just ahead of Diwali, the actor revealed that Delhi Crime Season 3 is set to premiere next month. She wonders if it’s a “divine intervention,” saying, “It feels like this Diwali’s patakha,” a term often used to describe fireworks.
For Shefali, the spirit of Diwali evokes nostalgia and joy. “During this time, I feel an exhilarating child-like excitement,” she reflects, adding humorously, “In fact, I may be more childlike than my kids, who are quite mature.” Diwali is her favorite festival that she eagerly anticipates every year.
Every aspect of the festival holds significance for her. “From the pujas to everyone gathering together, decorating the house—it’s all special. On Diwali night, being surrounded by our closest friends and family makes it even more meaningful,” she explains.
She recalls how Diwali used to be a grand event during her childhood. “We would wake up at 5 a.m. to the smell of firecrackers. My mother would make intricate rangoli designs, and I would be protective of them, feeling upset if someone spoiled it,” she reminisces.
As Diwali symbolizes light, Shefali states that the brightest moments in her life are spent with her loved ones—her husband Vipul Amrutlal Shah, their kids, and their pets. She also emphasizes self-acceptance during this festive season, acknowledging that we often tend to overlook kindness towards ourselves.
One cherished tradition for Shefali is gift-giving. “I love selecting personalized gifts, and I enjoy visiting markets to handpick them instead of placing orders. There’s something special about the thoughtfulness behind a gift,” she shares. This year, she scoured Crawford Market in Mumbai to compile her selections, stating, “I love giving gifts, but I think I should remind my friends that it’s time they start giving me some!”
