Shah Rukh Khan’s Cameo in Alia Bhatt’s ‘Alpha’ to Revitalize YRF Spy Universe

Actors Alia Bhatt and Sharvari are gearing up for the release of Yash Raj Films’ upcoming Spy Universe movie, Alpha. Producer Aditya Chopra has reached out to Shah Rukh Khan for a cameo role as Pathaan, with the hope of reigniting interest in the YRF Spy Universe. According to reports, Shah Rukh Khan is contemplating this special appearance, although he is currently committed to his upcoming film, King.

Will Shah Rukh Khan be a part of Alpha?

A source from Bollywood Hungama stated, “Pathaan is currently the most discussed character in the Spy Universe. Aditya Chopra is eager to have Shah Rukh Khan make a cameo in Alpha, specifically designed to pave the way for Pathaan 2. Shah Rukh has requested some time to consider the offer since he has already allocated most of his schedule for King.”

Aditya has urged Shah Rukh to set aside three to four days for filming in early November. Despite Khan’s busy schedule for King, he is attempting to rearrange his commitments to potentially make this cameo happen. A confirmation is expected within a week or so. Alternatively, if a full cameo isn’t feasible, he might just shoot for an end-credit scene in Alpha.

Moreover, Aditya is also looking to involve Salman Khan as Tiger in the film, approaching him only if the cameo’s significance is on par with Tiger’s appearance in Pathaan.

About the YRF Spy Universe

The YRF Spy Universe originated with the Tiger films but crystallized with Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan in 2023. Initially, the franchise was a success with hits like the Tiger films and War. However, recent releases, including Tiger 3 and War 2, have raised concerns about the franchise’s future.

Alpha, the next installment, is set to hit theaters on December 25, 2025. Marking a significant milestone as the first female-led film in the YRF Spy Universe, it is directed by Shiv Rawail and will be available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
