Revised Complaint Filed Against Sean Combs by Woman in Balcony Incident

## Allegations of Assault Against Sean “Diddy” Combs

A fashion designer has made serious allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs, claiming that in 2016, he held her over a balcony at Cassie Ventura’s high-rise residence. This designer is proceeding with an amended lawsuit.

During a court hearing, Bongolan’s attorney, James Nikraftar, informed the judge that the necessary documents had been served. “We just need to confirm that he’s received them, but we believe he has,” Nikraftar stated. Judge Mark H. Epstein scheduled a follow-up hearing for January 22 and mentioned that the lawsuit also involves several corporate defendants, including Bad Boy Records.

“We need to ensure everyone is served and has responded before setting trial dates,” Judge Epstein remarked, adding that he suspects Combs may be released from jail before the trial commences.

## Combs’ Current Legal Status

On October 3, Combs was sentenced to four years and two months in prison. His expected release date is May 8, 2028. Bongolan initiated her lawsuit last year, alleging that Combs subjected her to a frightening episode where he held her over a balcony and inflicted physical harm during an encounter in Cassie’s apartment on or around September 26, 2016.

In court, Bongolan recounted the 15-second assault that resulted in physical injuries and emotional trauma. “I suffer from night terrors and paranoia,” she shared with the jurors.

## Discrepancies in Testimony

However, Bongolan faced scrutiny when she admitted, in a moment described by U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian as a “Perry Mason moment,” that she was unsure of the exact date of the event. This came after the defense presented evidence that Combs was in New York during the alleged incident.

The revised complaint narrows the date of the supposed balcony altercation to “in or about September 2016.” Additionally, it introduces new evidence from a text exchange between Cassie Ventura and Combs’ chief of staff, Kristina Khorram, on September 30, 2016. In the text, Ventura expressed concern over Combs’ behavior after the alleged attack on Bongolan, detailing an incident where Combs entered her home and physically attacked Bongolan.

## Ongoing Legal Challenges for Combs

Since Cassie’s bombshell lawsuit in November 2023, numerous plaintiffs have come forward with allegations against Combs, prompting federal investigations. Although many civil cases were initially stalled, progress is resuming.

In a notable case, former **Making The Band 2** contestant Sara Rivers had 21 out of 22 claims dismissed by a federal judge in her $60 million lawsuit concerning harassment during the show’s production. The judge ruled that the dismissed claims were too old, a decision Rivers is currently appealing.
