One of the major film projects in Bollywood is Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated Ramayana: Part 1. This ambitious venture features an unexpected ensemble cast, including Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. When the film was first announced, reports suggested that Ranbir chose to quit alcohol and non-vegetarian food to prepare for his role. In a recent interview, Ravie confirmed that the entire cast has made significant sacrifices for this film.

Recently, Ravie Dubey and his wife Sargun Mehta participated in a podcast hosted by Ranveer Allahbadia. During this engaging conversation, Ravie expressed his appreciation for Nitesh Tiwari, Namit Malhotra, and Mukesh Chhabra for including him in Ramayana: Part 1. He reflected on how this project has profoundly affected everyone involved, stating, “That role changed me. I had to transform myself to do justice to it because the audience can easily tell when you are faking it. I completely altered my routine. In fact, all of us did—including Ranbir Kapoor. He has sacrificed so much for this film. This feels more like a yagya (sacred ceremony). We all did everything in our power to stay true to these characters in how we behave, react, and even speak.”

Ravie also shared his experience working alongside Ranbir and Yash. He described Ranbir as having an “incredible aura,” noting, “He’s quiet, graceful, and deeply committed. Ranbir carries a very soft energy—something that everyone who meets him would feel.” As for Yash, Ravie commented, “He’s an extremely friendly person—very warm and genuine. Both of them are very different, yet equally kind-hearted.”
