Priyamani Reveals She’s Not on Speaking Terms with Cousin Vidya Balan
Priyamani on Her Lack of Communication with Cousin Vidya Balan
Priyamani shares insights about her relationship with cousin Vidya Balan and expresses deep admiration for her.
The Bollywood film industry is rich with intriguing family ties. Recently, Priyamani discussed her connection with fellow actress Vidya Balan in an interview. Despite being second cousins—due to their grandfathers being brothers—Priyamani revealed that they have never maintained a close relationship.
Examining Their Relationship
Priyamani openly shared her thoughts, saying, “We have never been on talking terms in that way, even though we are related. However, I communicate more with her father. Balan uncle often reaches out to me, and if I’m unavailable, he contacts my father.” She continued to praise Vidya, stating, “She is an exceptional actress, and I genuinely look forward to her return to the screen. I miss the powerful performances she delivers.”
Vidya Balan’s recent film, the horror-comedy “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,” featured a stellar cast, including Kartik Aaryan and Madhuri Dixit. Despite competing with “Singham Again,” the film achieved impressive box office numbers, raking in ₹389.28 crore globally. Currently, Vidya has yet to announce her next venture.
Priyamani’s Current and Future Projects
Priyamani was last seen in the Malayalam action thriller “Officer on Duty,” alongside Kunchacko Boban. Next, she is set to star in “Jana Nayagan,” directed by H. Vinoth, featuring Vijay and Pooja Hegde. This upcoming film is pivotal, as it marks Vijay’s last project before entering politics, slated for release in January 2026.
Additionally, Priyamani will reprise her role in the highly anticipated “The Family Man” Season 3, which stars Manoj Bajpayee. This series is expected to debut in November, although the specific release date remains unconfirmed.
