Grieving Satish Shah’s Loss
On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his sorrow over the loss of renowned actor Satish Shah on X. He mentioned, “Deeply saddened by the passing of Shri Satish Shah Ji. He will be remembered as a true legend of Indian entertainment. His effortless humour and iconic performances brought laughter into countless lives. My heartfelt condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.”
Farah Khan also took to Instagram to pay tribute, writing, “Rest in peace dearest Satish. You were a joy to know and work with. Will miss you sending me memes and jokes every day.” Kajol added, “Gone too soon, but your laughter will echo forever, rest in peace Satish ji.”
Details of Satish Shah’s Passing
Satish Shah passed away at 74 on October 25 due to complications from kidney failure. The P.D. Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai confirmed that he was found unresponsive at his home and could not be revived despite the best efforts of medical personnel.
JD Majethia, creator of the series *Sarabhai vs Sarabhai* and a close friend of Satish, revealed that the actor had not been well for some time and had recently undergone a kidney transplant. Unfortunately, an infection developed post-surgery, leading to his demise.

Over his impressive four-decade career, Satish Shah captivated audiences with his comedic roles in both television and film. He rose to fame with iconic shows like *Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi* and *Sarabhai vs Sarabhai*. The actor also starred in popular films such as *Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge*, *Judwaa*, and *Kal Ho Naa Ho*.
