Hermès Spring/Summer Fashion Show
During Europe’s soaring summer temperatures, French luxury brand Hermès showcased a fresh perspective on summer menswear. The collection, presented on Saturday at the Palais d’Iéna in Paris, emphasized trousers, opting for clever designs that offer both style and comfort, steering clear of traditional shorts.
A standout piece was the trousers paired with a jacket crafted from intricately braided leather strips, inspired by the aesthetic of summer seating. Designer Véronique Nichanian described this unique approach in the show notes, saying, “Braided leather outlines a shoulder, the chime of trousers, it unfolds in a full version on checked shirts.”
The color palette was distinctly Hermès, featuring hues like caramel, coffee, vanilla, mint green, and burgundy. The jackets combined elements of bomber styles with windbreakers, while other pieces included plush teddy-style bomber jackets and calfskin overshirts.
The trousers offered a wide fit, cropped at the hem with minimalistic sandals that had a simple thick rope outlining the sole.

Scarves were showcased in various styles—some knotted broadly over the chest, while others casually draped around the neck. Big bags dominated the accessories, with designer Nichanian humorously stating, “Because I’m small and I love big bags.”
KidSuper’s Enchanting Presentation
American brand KidSuper, helmed by designer Colm Dillane, turned heads at Paris Fashion Week with a whimsical presentation. Setting the scene inside the Museum of Decorative Arts, reminiscent of a giant children’s storybook, Dillane captured the magic of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s iconic tale, ‘The Little Prince.’
Titled ‘The Boy Who Jumped the Moon,’ this show featured models adorned in vibrant, playful attire that evoked the essence of childhood fantasy.

Dillane’s collection was vibrant and comfortable, featuring denim trousers adorned with stickers, stylish burgundy biker suits, and whimsical belts decorated with playful characters. The show also included women’s pieces, like a cream evening dress that transformed into a mesmerizing tulle creation on one side.
As the models walked, a voiceover narrated the storyline, flipping through the book’s pages. A comical mishap during the moon trip led to a charred jacket and brown trousers, representing the hasty return to Earth.

dillane left an impression with his collection, which featured a playful translucent orange jacket paired with coordinating accessories, demonstrating his creative flair.
Elegant Oversized Styles in Neutral Shades
Meanwhile, Chinese designer Ziggy Chen unveiled a collection that embodies oversized elegance. His line featured loose-fitting linen outfits, with some pants supported only by delicate suspenders. The collection also included skirts, aprons, and shirts with exaggerated collar lengths.
Accessories like leather sandals worn with socks and newsboy caps complemented the neutral color palette, which consisted of beige, light gray, black, and sand tones.

Chen’s collection represents a balance between comfort and style, perfect for warmer days. Are you ready to embrace the new trends from the recent Paris Fashion Week?
