Oasis Unveils 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of '(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?'

It’s been thirty years since Oasis released one of the defining albums of the Britpop movement. To celebrate this milestone, they are launching a special 30th anniversary deluxe edition of What’s The Story) Morning Glory? This edition features five newly recorded unplugged versions of beloved tracks like “Wonderwall,” “Champagne Supernova,” and “Acquiesce.”

The deluxe edition is set to hit the shelves on October 3rd through Big Brother Recordings. Fans can choose from limited 2-CD, 3-LP, and digital formats. In addition to the album’s 2014 remaster, listeners will enjoy stripped-down renditions of “Cast No Shadow,” “Morning Glory,” “Wonderwall,” “Acquiesce,” and “Champagne Supernova.” These tracks were freshly produced and mixed by Noel Gallagher and Callum Marinho at Noel’s Lone Star Sound studio in London. Fans can get a sneak peek with the newly released “Acquiesce (Unplugged).”

The reissue boasts new artwork by Brian Cannon, the original sleeve designer, along with fresh liner notes. Additionally, exclusive colored vinyl editions will be available: a sepia marble 3-LP that pays homage to “Wonderwall” and a vibrant neon orange 3-LP available through the band’s official store.

Initially launched in October 1995, What’s The Story) Morning Glory? achieved remarkable success, selling over 22 million copies globally and securing Oasis their first BRIT Award for Best British Album. This record is still the third best-selling studio album in the UK and was recently recognized as the most streamed album of the 1990s in the UK.

The anniversary edition coincides with the band’s highly anticipated ‘Live ‘25’ tour. The demand for tickets has been unprecedented, with fans from 158 countries vying for a chance to attend. The global tour kicks off this week in Cardiff and will continue through the UK before heading to Australia in October and November.

In celebration of this anniversary, Big Brother Recordings has introduced the Oasis Live ‘25 Map Experience, an interactive digital platform rooted in Google Maps. This innovative app allows fans to explore tour stops through geo-tagged Oasis history, featuring exclusive content, merchandise hotspots, and AR activations. Fans can even have their YouTube Shorts showcased on the band’s official channel. The map is live now at live25.oasisinet.com.
