Nawazuddin Siddiqui Joins Mission Impossible’s Ilia Volok for Heist Film “Faraar”
Nawaz will play a physics professor in the film.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui is preparing for his much-anticipated Diwali release, **Thama**. According to exclusive information, he is set to take on a role in a heist film provisionally titled **Faraar**, where he’ll portray a physics professor.
Joining Siddiqui is Ilia Volok, known for roles in **Mission Impossible**, **G.I. Joe**, and **Indiana Jones**, who will act as the film’s antagonist. Additionally, Nimisha Sajayan, recognized for her work in **Dabba Cartel**, will also participate in the project. Furthermore, the background score will be crafted by Ivan Lacamara, famed for his compositions in **Money Heist**.
Director Kushagra Sharma expressed his intention to innovate villain portrayals in cinema, which motivated him to cast Volok. He stated, “Casting Ilia Volok opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui was a creative decision aimed at reintroducing the essence of a complex villain while breaking away from traditional representations. In an increasingly global cinematic landscape, it’s crucial to showcase performers who embody depth and authenticity.”
Sharma added, “Nawaz’s outstanding talent requires a comparable match, and Ilia Volok delivers that rare blend of intensity and unpredictability. With the creators of the **Money Heist** score on board, viewers can expect an exhilarating auditory experience that promises to elevate the film’s appeal.”
At the time of writing, Siddiqui was not available for comments.
Could this collaboration represent a new era for heist films in Bollywood?
