Navya Nanda Shares Insight: Bachchan Family Values and Discussion Dynamics
Navya Naveli Nanda, granddaughter of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, often engages in heartfelt discussions with her family on her podcast, “What The Hell Navya.” In a recent interview with Mojo Story, she reflected on growing up with her grandparents and addressed the nature of their family conversations.
Navya spoke about the unique family dynamics within the Bachchan household, stating, “I have spent a lot of time with my grandparents, and we continue to live together. This is quite unusual for many young people today. Instead of fighting, we have healthy discussions on relevant topics. Our conversations on the podcast often reflect our differences without leading to conflict; we share foundational values that shape our identities.”
Navya further elaborated on the importance of respect within her family. She mentioned that she, her brother Agastya, and cousin Aaradhya Bachchan were raised to value respect deeply. “The first lesson we were taught was about respect and the essence of family. This mutual respect extends beyond just family; it encompasses our appreciation for our work and lineage.”
Despite her lineage, which includes celebrated actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, Navya chose a different path. She revealed her passion for entrepreneurship over acting, explaining her interest in her father’s business pursuits. Her brother, Agastya, is stepping into the film industry, having debuted in Zoya Akhtar’s “The Archies.” Meanwhile, Navya is making her mark by running Project Naveli, an initiative focused on gender equality.
