Kidman aims to be the “primary residential parent” of their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Reports suggest Kidman and Urban have been living separately since early summer.

Sources revealed to the Daily Mail that Kidman has been in frequent contact with her longtime friend Naomi Watts. “Nic has been calling Naomi a ton to talk about how she is coping with the situation,” the source noted. “There has been a lot of insightful advice, and Nic values Naomi’s perspective since she has experienced similar challenges.”

Naomi Watts, 57, endured her own public breakup with Heath Ledger in 2004, and later separated from Liev Schreiber after an 11-year relationship in 2016. Watts is now happily married to actor Billy Crudup, having tied the knot in 2023. “Naomi suggested that being transparent with the public is essential, allowing fans to process the situation,” an insider shared.

This isn’t the first time Watts has provided support to Kidman during a significant personal challenge. Following Kidman’s divorce from Tom Cruise in 2001, Watts also played a crucial supportive role.

Kidman and Urban’s Marriage Story

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban tied the knot on June 25, 2006. They first crossed paths at the G’Day USA Gala in 2005. Their last public appearance as a couple was on June 20, just days shy of their 19th wedding anniversary.

According to insiders, Urban may already be involved with someone else, with reports suggesting he changed a lyric during a recent concert that referenced his 25-year-old guitarist, Maggie Baugh, instead of Kidman. “Nicole feels deeply hurt and betrayed. This is truly devastating for her,” one source disclosed to People.

Kidman and Watts have maintained a close friendship since the 1980s, having met during an audition in Sydney and later co-starring in the 1991 film *Flirting*. In a previous interview, Watts referred to Kidman as “the sister I never had,” highlighting their strong bond.

Isn’t it fascinating to see how friendship can provide strength during challenging times? How do you think Nicole should navigate this difficult period?
