## Miley Cyrus and Her Reflection on Wildfires

Earlier this year, Miley Cyrus reflected on the severe impact of wildfires that ravaged portions of Los Angeles. This situation struck a personal chord with her, as she lost her home in Malibu during the Woolsey Fire in 2018. That traumatic experience prompted Cyrus to abandon her EP trilogy, which began with *She Is Coming*, as she lost significant material in the fire. To her, it felt like a sign that those songs were not destined for her anymore.

### New Music Inspired by Fire

Today, Miley has discovered a new project that resonates with her experiences: an original song for *Avatar: Fire and Ash*. “Having been personally affected by fire and being rebuilt from the ashes, this project holds profound meaning for me,” she shared on Instagram, along with a brief snippet of the track. Although there’s no confirmed release date yet, *Avatar: Fire and Ash*, which is the third installment in the franchise, is set to hit theaters on December 19.

### Lyrics That Resonate Deeply

In this new piece, Miley sings, “Even through the flames/Even through the ashes in the sky,” accompanied by a serene piano melody. The lyrics convey a message of unity and resilience: “Baby, when we dream/We dream as one.” Collaborating on this track are Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt, both of whom have previously worked with Miley. Ronson helped produce the hit “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart,” while Wyatt partnered with her starting in 2018.

Cyrus’s work has received accolades, notably being nominated for Best Original Song at the 2025 Golden Globes for “Beautiful That Way.” This song was a collaboration with Andrew Wyatt and Lykke Li for Gia Coppola’s *The Last Showgirl*.

“Thank you, Jim, for the opportunity to turn that experience into musical medicine,” Cyrus expressed. She highlighted that the film’s core themes of unity, healing, and love deeply resonate with her. Being part of the universe the *Avatar* family has created feels like a dream come true for her.
