The whispers were confirmed: Lewis Capaldi is set to tour Australia and New Zealand this year.
The beloved Scottish pop sensation will grace stages in Christchurch, Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth throughout November and December. This marks Capaldi’s return to Australasia for the first time since his performances at the Falls Festival in 2019/20 and a solo concert at Auckland Town Hall in 2019.
Tickets for Lewis Capaldi’s highly anticipated 2025 tour will be available to the public starting Monday, July 14, at 12 PM local time. The pre-sale for Secret Sounds begins on Friday, July 11, at 11 AM local time. Additionally, those who purchased tickets for his previously canceled 2023 tour can access a special pre-sale on Thursday, July 10, at 11 AM local time (an email will be sent by Secret Sounds to these customers with details for pre-sale access).
In a recent TikTok livestream, Capaldi hinted at the plans for his Australian tour. Responding to questions about a potential visit, he cheerfully teased: “I don’t know, maybe just stay tuned, my friend, keep a keen eye on social media, perhaps in the near future.”
Capaldi also made headlines last month with his stirring return to Glastonbury. This performance marked his comeback to the iconic festival after facing challenges two years prior, when he struggled with his voice and experienced noticeable tics due to Tourette’s syndrome—a condition he was diagnosed with in 2022. Following that difficult period, he took a hiatus from touring to prioritize his wellness.
At Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage, Capaldi expressed his gratitude to the audience, stating he was there to “finish what I couldn’t finish.” He kicked off his set with “Before You Go” before moving on to fan favorites like “Grace” and “Bruises” from his acclaimed debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent. He also introduced a new song titled “Survive,” which reflects on the hurdles he has faced over the past couple of years.
“I’m not going to say much up here today, because if I do, I’ll probably start crying,” he shared with the crowd. “It’s just amazing to be here with you all, and I can’t thank you enough for coming out and coming to see me. Second time’s the charm on this one.”
