Lady Gaga has decided to postpone her concert in Miami, citing an “extremely strained” voice. Her doctor and vocal coach both advised her to take a break and rest her vocal cords.

Apology from Lady Gaga

Just as thousands gathered at Kaseya Center, Gaga took to Instagram to announce the cancellation. “I am really so so sorry but I need to postpone tonight’s show in Miami,” she shared. She explained, “During rehearsal last night and my vocal warmup tonight my voice was extremely strained, and both my Dr and vocal coach have advised me not to go on because of the risk it poses.”

Although Gaga expressed her desire to push through for her fans, she acknowledged the importance of her vocal health. She stated, “I don’t want to risk long term or permanent damage on my vocal cords,” highlighting the serious nature of the decision.

Understanding the Situation

Gaga emphasized that she performs live every night, which adds to the risks involved. “It was a hard and agonizing decision,” she admitted, adding that she would be more concerned about the long-term consequences of not listening to her body.

In her heartfelt message, Gaga asked for forgiveness, expressing her deep regret for any disappointment caused. “I hope you can forgive me and accept my sincerest apologies for any disappointment, let down, inconvenience I am so so sorry,” she added, reassuring fans of her commitment to their experience. She mentioned that her team is working quickly to reschedule the show.
