KT Tunstall Commemorates Her Debut Album in Australia and New Zealand
KT Tunstall is set to return to Australia and New Zealand for a special event.
This Scottish singer-songwriter will celebrate the 20th anniversary of her iconic debut album, Eye to the Telescope, with a unique tour planned for next year.
Tunstall will perform the entire album during seven exclusive concerts in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Auckland, and Wellington (see the complete tour dates below).
Tickets will be available to the public starting Thursday, October 2nd at 10 a.m. local time, with an early bird pre-sale kicking off on Tuesday, September 30th at the same time.
Looking back on the two decades since Eye to the Telescope was released, Tunstall shared: “[…] I never imagined where I might be when it turned 20. Creating it was an exciting journey with limited resources and some musician friends. I’ve heard incredible stories about how these songs have resonated with people around the globe, accompanying them through love and loss. It’s truly been a wonderful experience.”
Eye to the Telescope has achieved remarkable success, reaching 5x platinum and selling over 4 million copies around the world.
The influence of the album went far beyond its sales, with standout hits becoming cultural landmarks throughout the 2000s. “Suddenly I See” gained fame for its prominent placement in the opening of The Devil Wears Prada, while tracks like “Universe & U” and “Other Side of the World” found new audiences in the series Grey’s Anatomy.
