Kiwi Duo Balu Brigada Unveils Their Latest Single Ahead of New Album

## Balu Brigada’s Latest Single Release
New Zealand’s alt-pop duo Balu Brigada has unveiled their new track, “What Do We Ever Really Know?”, which marks the fourth single from their eagerly awaited debut album.
### The Essence of Love Amid Uncertainty
This romantically ethereal song highlights the brothers Henry and Pierre Beasley embracing love despite life’s unpredictability. The chorus resonates with the line: “*If the world stopped spinning ’round again / Then I don’t care / If the globe is frozen by October / Be my baby till it’s over.*”
### An Existential Perspective
Balu Brigada describes the track as “an existential crisis, peppered with a euphoric appreciation of the present.” The duo explains the sensations of navigating life’s pressures while recognizing that nobody holds all the answers. They sum it up poignantly: “We’re all just idiots on a spinning rock, doing our bestest.”
### Accompanying Visuals
The release is complemented by a unique music video directed by Sean, showcasing a vintage film style paired with ’80s-inspired animations.
## Building Momentum with Their Music
“What Do We Ever Really Know?” follows earlier releases including “The Question,” “Backseat,” and last year’s breakout single “So Cold.” All these tracks will appear on their debut album, *Portal*, which is set to be launched on August 29.
### Landmark Performances
The brothers also showcased “So Cold” during their debut performance on *Jimmy Kimmel Live!* in March. The single has garnered over 48 million streams worldwide, marking a significant achievement in their musical career.
### Journey to Success
Balu Brigada reflects on their path as a progression of individual moments that have brought them closer to their dream of touring globally. Their journey took a significant step in 2022 when they signed with Atlantic Music Group and moved to the United States, culminating in a sold-out headline tour earlier this year.
### Upcoming Tour Plans
Recently, the duo supported Twenty One Pilots on their global tour and are set to headline shows across Mexico and the US in October and November.
