Josh Freese Prepares to Return After Tough Choice to Depart Nine Inch Nails

Keli Holiday Unveils Tour Dates for Exciting New Zealand Headline Shows

Josh Freese has a dynamic history in the music scene, and his journey with Nine Inch Nails (NIN) is a significant chapter. He originally performed with the band from 2005 to 2008, contributing to their unique sound under the leadership of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. After parting ways, Freese collaborated with various bands, including Weezer and Paramore. Most recently, he parted ways with the Foo Fighters, but the memories of his time with NIN remain vivid.

## A Passion for Performance

Freese expressed his excitement about rejoining Nine Inch Nails, stating, “NIN was a band that left me walking off stage every single night thinking, ‘That was incredible. We absolutely crushed it.’” He reminisced about the intense energy and satisfaction he felt after each show, a feeling he described as rare.

### New Beginnings

In 2023, Freese stepped in as the drummer for Foo Fighters, taking over after the loss of the late Taylor Hawkins. However, he was soon relieved of his duties as the band opted for a new direction. Following this, Ilan Rubin, who had previously replaced Freese in NIN, took over the drumming responsibilities for Foo Fighters.

## Looking Forward

Freese is thrilled to return to the stage with Trent Reznor and the rest of the crew. “Helping them do what they do best night after night is something I’m incredibly excited about,” he said. With the upcoming *Peel It Back* tour, he promises unforgettable experiences for fans.

Nine Inch Nails will kick off their North American leg of the *Peel It Back* tour on August 6 in Oakland, California, wrapping up in Los Angeles on September 19. Are you planning to catch one of their shows?
