Jennifer Lopez Calls Out Her ‘Messy’ Red Carpet Looks on ‘WWHL’
Jennifer Lopez Revisits Iconic Fashion Moments
Not every iconic red carpet outfit ages as gracefully as its wearer, especially when that wearer is the incomparable Jennifer Lopez.
During a recent episode of “Watch What Happens Live,” the 56-year-old superstar critiqued eight of her most memorable outfits from between 1995 and 2007. This fun segment allowed her to reflect on her fashion evolution.
Fashion Evaluation Game
In a playful segment titled “Versace or Hibachi,” J.Lo determined which outfits deserved to be kept and which should be tossed aside. Most of her vintage looks received her approval, showcasing her fond nostalgia for those styles.

Her glamorous 1998 Golden Globes cutout gown was a standout, instantly garnering a “Versace” label from her, even though she humorously corrected herself to note it was actually Valentino.
Memorable Outfits
Lopez expressed great fondness for her 2006 VMAs ensemble, featuring thigh-high patent leather boots and a matching headwrap. “I love it, I’m sorry. I love it,” she declared.

Lopez was also quick to critique her fashion missteps. She remarked about her 2000 VH1 Vogue Fashion Awards outfit, expressing dissatisfaction with the gold belt that she deemed a “mess.” “Let’s hibachi something,” she said, signaling her desire to part ways with the look.

Her worst fashion faux pas, according to her own evaluation, was from the 1995 “Money Train” premiere. She admitted, “It was ill-fitting. I’m going to hibachi it,” while recognizing the beauty of the Richard Tyler gown.
Looking Toward the Future
As Lopez gears up for her upcoming residency titled “Up All Night: Live in Las Vegas,” she is also making the press rounds for her new film, “Kiss of the Spider Woman.” This nostalgia-filled look back at her style underscores her influential career in the entertainment industry.
