Indie Cinema The Projector Set to Restart Screenings at Golden Mile Tower in August

Exciting News for Movie Enthusiasts

This August, The Projector at Golden Mile Tower is set to resume screenings, much to the delight of film buffs. On July 23, the independent cinema revealed that the completion of the Golden Mile en bloc process paves the way for their return to this iconic venue.

The Journey of The Projector

The Projector first opened its doors in 2014 but shifted gears in May, moving away from daily screenings to focus on special and curated events. This included interactive film experiences and live music showcases, as well as providing the space for corporate venue hires.

In December 2023, The Projector began operations at Cineleisure in collaboration with Golden Village, taking over the space previously occupied by Cathay Cineplex.

A Message from the Founder

Founder Karen Tan shared her excitement: “As we reactivate Golden Mile Tower, our audiences can expect the same irreverent spirit and eclectic, culturally-driven programming they know and love, now with a refreshed energy and a deeper sense of community.”

What’s Next for The Projector?

Regarding the future of operations at its Cineleisure location, The Projector has not provided further comments at this time. Lifestyle media has reached out to Golden Village for more information on this transition.
