Housefull 5 Box Office Update
Akshay Kumar’s Film Achieves Major Milestone
Housefull 5 box office report: The latest film from Akshay Kumar has taken the box office by storm, and it’s reflected in its impressive earnings. After recently surpassing Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2, it now claims the second spot among the year’s top-grossing Bollywood films. The film has outperformed L2: Empuraan, which previously held a significant spot just behind Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava.
Performance Highlights
Released on June 6, Housefull 5 captured audience attention from the start and continued to perform well at the box office. In just 25 days, it grossed ₹300 crore worldwide and ₹200 crore net domestically, surpassing previous blockbuster collections such as Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam and Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan, which garnered ₹255 crore and ₹265.5 crore, respectively.

Though Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava remains at the top with ₹807.88 crore globally and ₹601.54 crore in India, Akshay’s Housefull 5 is now recognized as the second-highest-grossing Indian film of 2025.
Overview of Housefull 5
This latest installment in the acclaimed Housefull franchise, directed by Tarun Mansukhani, boasts a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and many more. The story unfolds aboard a cruise ship where a wealthy billionaire is mysteriously killed. With three characters named Jolly on board, all played by the film’s leads, they become the main suspects in the crime.
While audience feedback has been largely positive, praising it as one of the franchise’s best, some critics argue it prioritizes the visuals of female roles over meaningful character development.
