Good Things Festival 2025: Stellar Lineup with Tool, Weezer & More!
The highly-awaited Good Things Festival 2025 lineup has finally been revealed, and it’s a notable collection of artists.
At the forefront is the progressive metal titan Tool, making their return to Australia after more than five years. This marks their first festival appearance since the 2011 Big Day Out, celebrating an impressive 35 years with a remarkable discography that spans from Ænima to Fear Inoculum.
Headliners and Iconic Acts
Joining them are alt-rock legends Weezer, known for timeless hits like “Buddy Holly” and “Island in the Sun.” Fans can also look forward to Garbage, led by Shirley Manson, performing classic ’90s hits such as “Stupid Girl” and “Only Happy When It Rains,” alongside tracks from their latest album, Let All That We Imagine Be the Light.
The lineup reads like a who’s who of alternative, punk, and metal. Artists like All Time Low, Machine Head, and The All-American Rejects—who are visiting Australia for the first time in 16 years—will take the stage. Other acts include Knocked Loose, Lorna Shore, New Found Glory, and Swedish hardcore pioneers Refused, making their final appearances in Australia.
Nostalgic Touches
Adding a unique flair to the event, James Reyne will perform Australian Crawl classics, providing a counterpoint to the heavier acts. The nostalgia continues with performances by Goldfinger and Cobra Starship.
Further enriching the lineup are Fever 333, Make Them Suffer, Tonight Alive, Kublai Khan TX, Palaye Royale, and GWAR, among others.
Stage 666 also makes a return, featuring an array of burlesque, fire-breathing, sword-swallowing, and other unconventional performances.
Festival programming has certainly encountered challenges recently. “I’ve never seen a more challenging festival environment in my life,” noted one organizer. Rising costs have impacted both festival logistics and artist bookings, necessitating a careful balance between ticket prices and quality lineups to keep fans satisfied.
