Gold Fang Releases New EP: All For The Money$
Gold Fang has unveiled his latest two-track EP, All For The Money$. This Sydney-based artist, originally from Trinidad, fully embraces his passion for reggae with his new singles, "Perspective" and "All For The Money".
Exploring Life Through Music
In the track "Perspective," Gold Fang delves into his background and aspirations. He expresses thoughts on his upbringing, stating, “Coming from the ghetto we ain’t got too many options. Most youths have nothing but hope. Some want out of what we were born into; others wish to continue the tradition. Life is all about perspective. What do you want to be? In the trap or at the top of the world? Think about it.”
Accompanied by a visually striking music video filmed in Trinidad by Rael Luvi of R93 Films, "Perspective" highlights the support from Australia’s music export funding.
Themes of Integrity and Choice
The EP’s title track, “All For The Money$”, addresses themes of honesty and integrity. Gold Fang reflects, “Everybody gotta live. Some choose to live honestly, while others may take a different route. At the end of the day, it’s all for the money. I’ve witnessed some strange and morally questionable choices.”
Gold Fang shares his thoughts about the EP, stating, “It’s been a minute since I released pure reggae music. Unintentional exploration can leave certain fans wanting, and that’s not ideal. This is my first love, so it’s only right that I put out the best music I have.”
Continuing His Musical Journey
This new EP follows his recent singles “Facelift” and “OneFiftySix”.
Known for his smooth reggae rhythms and innovative sound, Gold Fang is establishing his presence in both the local and global Afro-Caribbean music scene.
His live performance credentials are impressive, as he runs his own More Life party and has supported major artists like Lil Nas X, Fire Boy DML, and J Balvin. He has also graced festivals such as SXSW Sydney, Field Day, Splendour in the Grass, Promiseland, and Beyond The Valley.
