G Flip Unveils ’80s Themed Album ‘Dream Ride’ for Fans

G Flip has unveiled their latest studio album, Dream Ride, which draws inspiration from an “’80s Butch Springsteen fantasy.”

This Melbourne-born talent collaborated with Aidan Hogg to create the album in their new Los Angeles studio. Together, they crafted an impressive total of over 100 songs, narrowing them down to the final 10 for this release.

Among the tracks are previously launched singles such as “Disco Cowgirl,” “In Another Life,” and “Big Ol’ Hammer.” G Flip shares, “This album is inspired by the ‘80s. I’ve always resonated with ‘80s music; it embodies a wealth of musicality—larger-than-life theatrics, vibrant colors, epic solos, enormous drum sounds, and a musical landscape that feels cinematic.”

“I aimed to encapsulate all this on my record and create my version of an ‘80s world,” they continue. “I wanted to craft songs that inspire dancing, singing, crying, love, laughter, and enjoyable long drives.”

“My hope is that this record feels both familiar and fresh—nostalgic yet contemporary. I hope you enjoy the Dream Ride,” G Flip adds.

In light of the album’s release, G Flip has also shared a new music video for “Bed on Fire.” This track delves into their personal struggles while growing up in a Catholic school, reflecting on their first experience with a woman. They express, “I’m high on this love I shouldn’t be having.”

They add, “It’s about embracing my queerness, even if it leads to hell.”

As they promote the album, G Flip is gearing up for a five-stop tour back home in Australia, with performances scheduled in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth for February 2026.
