Craig David Returns to Australia for an Exclusive Performance
Craig David is making his way back to Australia next year, where he will showcase his famous ‘TS5’ show at Flemington’s Crown Oaks Day on Thursday, November 6th. This performance will mark his only public appearance in Melbourne for 2025.
Celebrating 25 Years of Music
“I knew it was the 25th anniversary of Born To Do It, but I didn’t know it was on the 16th,” Craig reflected. He added, “Whatever bag that I was in when I made Born To Do It, I feel like I’m back in that bag again, man.”
Over the course of his remarkable career, David has delivered global hits like "Walking Away," "7 Days," and "Fill Me In." With 14 BRIT nominations and two Grammy nominations under his belt, he’s amassed over 5 billion streams globally. “Nine albums in, that’s what keeps you in the flow… I always want to just be a student in the game,” he shared, emphasizing his ongoing passion for music.
A Perfect Fit for the Melbourne Cup Carnival
This performance marks Craig David’s second appearance at the Melbourne Cup Carnival and his first visit to Australia since 2022. According to Victoria Racing Club (VRC) CEO Kylie Rogers, he embodies the spirit of the event. “The Melbourne Cup Carnival is known for hosting some of the world’s most entertaining performers, and we can’t wait for Craig to bring his unique British sound and energy to the Live Stage in The Elms,” she stated.
“I have so many cherished memories in Australia,” David mentioned. “I love the energy and passion Australian crowds bring, and I am thrilled to be back performing at Flemington on Crown Oaks Day.”
Details on the Event and Ticket Information
The Elms, the Carnival’s new entertainment area located at the end of the Flemington straight, will host Craig and other major acts throughout the week. His performance is included with a General Admission ticket, and there’s a limited $27 ticket deal valid until September 11th. David will also make an appearance at the VRC Crown Oaks Club Lunch on Wednesday, November 5.
The 2025 Melbourne Cup Carnival will take place from November 1st to 8th, starting with Victoria Derby Day and featuring events like the Lexus Melbourne Cup, Crown Oaks Day, and TAB Champions Stakes Day.
