BTS has officially reunited, sparking excitement among fans regarding their upcoming music releases. On July 1, the group announced that a new album is expected in Spring 2026, alongside a world tour. RM took the lead, flying to Los Angeles on July 6, followed closely by SUGA, Jimin, and Jungkook the next day.
V is anticipated to join the group after concluding his commitments at Paris Fashion Week for Celine. Similarly, J-Hope and Jin will finalize their individual projects before reuniting. New updates indicate that the team won’t return to Korea for about two months.
BTS’s Spring 2026 Album Plans
According to reports, BTS is planning a song camp in the USA, which means they will be staying overseas for a while. The forthcoming full-length album will be developed with direct input from all seven members, with a release window targeted for Spring 2026 (March to May). If this plan holds true, it will mark BTS’s first studio album in six years since the launch of *Map of the Soul: 7* in 2020, a follow-up to *Map of the Soul: Persona* released in 2019.
*Map of the Soul: 7* was a pivotal moment in BTS’s career, introducing hits like “Boy with Luv,” featuring Halsey, which brought them significant acclaim. The group is poised to replicate this success with their new project.
Collaborative Efforts and Solo Projects
Dispatch Korea mentions that the album will involve collaborations with global producers, enhancing its diverse sound. J-Hope is set to headline Lollapalooza in Berlin on July 13, right before rejoining the team. Meanwhile, Jin will embark on concerts in Osaka on July 12 and 13. Post-concert, he is scheduled for gigs across the USA in Anaheim, Dallas, and Tampa, with additional stops in London and Amsterdam before heading to Los Angeles.
