BTS continues to break records, and their latest achievement is truly remarkable. The group has reached an astounding 44 billion streams across all their songs on Spotify, showcasing their immense global popularity. This impressive figure includes not just their group tracks, but also their solo projects and collaborations. Imagine how much higher the total would be if more tracks like “Ddaeng” were available for streaming—HYBE, take note!
Fans have taken to social media to celebrate this milestone, making hashtags like ‘CONGRATULATIONS BTS’, ‘HISTORY CREATOR BTS’, and ‘BTS PAVED THE WAY’ trend. With these 44 billion streams, BTS stands as the first K-pop act and the first Asian artist to achieve this feat on Spotify. They are now recognized as the most-streamed group worldwide on the platform.
This amazing achievement reflects not just the group as a collective but also the individual efforts of RM, Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, whose solo projects and countless collaborations have contributed significantly over their 12-year journey. Their numerous Grammy nominations and accolades from major award shows further validate their enduring popularity in South Korea and internationally.
BTS’ Upcoming Album Plans
Recently, on July 1, BTS hosted their first livestream on Weverse since all members returned from military service. During this event, they announced plans for a spring 2026 release of their next album, which will span from March to May in South Korea. The members also shared insight into their ongoing songwriting camp taking place in the USA, where they are currently based.
Notably, it has been reported that the group won’t return to South Korea for at least two months as they focus on recording in Los Angeles.
